Change is in the air, and it feels good!
I’m so excited to have worked closely with a new factory for our Fall/Winter collection.  I’m happily once again working with making models and castings, making innovative original pieces with brass.  The joy and the challenge has been to bring these new pieces into the realm of what we do now, so it’s a seamless yet flagrantly new direction.
I think we’ve done it nicely--- here’s a sneak peak!

Delicate Heavy Metal Collar: Black on iridescent black (A re occurring theme) with brass a "Borgia" Inspiration...
I LOVE this (also Borgia themed) hook front all brass cuff.  Looks very cool worn layered with one of our narrow metallic snakeskin cuffs!

Shimmmmer and Shine

We LOVE Henri Bendel's!
You can find a colorful array of our shimmery stingray cuffs for summer there NOW!
These are shimmery but somehow subtle, something I always seem to come back to.  I developed this finish out of my never ending love for SHINE!

FW 2012 Inspirations Part II

When asked that party game question-
"If you could go anywhere, anytime in history, where and when would it be?" I easily, dreamily answer, "1925, Paris Expositions des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes"
This exhibition gave the name ART DECO to a rich vein of decorative design. Modern day me would love to teleport myself to this exhibit, to be among the first to peruse the original works by so many of the artists and designers of that time, including: Goldsmithing by Christophle, furniture by Le Corbusier, Thonnet and Gio Ponti, and how unbelievable would it be to visit the 3 barges moored on the Seine housing couturier Paul Poiret's displays?  My favorite bridge in Paris, Pont Alexandre III, hosted Sonia Delaunay's 'simultaneous' clothing and textiles in an ephemere boutique.
If I could be at the exhibit, I would surely loiter there for a good part of each day!
These places have been my 'haunts' for years- but to be able to be there at that time, see those designers and their works... bliss, inpiration, goosebumps.

Changing continents and time periods--When I lived in NYC, my daily walk to and from work brought me in front of the Chrysler building. It was and is still a huge source of power and inspiration to me.
Here's my homage to the Designers, Artists, Photographers and Architects of that time:

The Chrysler Building:

The styling for this image was inspired by is Man Ray's photography (see below) and the cuff inspiration from fabulous Sonia Delauny.

FW 2012 Inspirations PART 1

OK--so it's been like forever since I've done a blog post--what can I say?
I've been B U S Y! That's the easiest (of course true too) answer.
Also, a bit shy, absent minded, yet- overall, just super wrapped up!
Now, with the FALL COLLECTION finally up on the website, I thought it was high time to communicate again--starting with the inspirations that led to this collection...
PART I:
I've been moved by, in admiration of and generally inspired by DEBBY HARRY for as long as I can remember.  She's cool, the original, a strong woman never afraid to flaunt her sexiness and use it to her advantage.  Most of all, her look and style just gets me- I just get it, and want to applaud it.  She was her own stylist... creative, innovative and intelligent- using her looks and sexiness to their best advantage, staying true to herself.  But most of all, staying true to cool rock and roll- the essence of creation for me.
Oddly enough, another all time muse for me has been the classic beauty of GRACE KELLY- aka- Princess Grace of Monaco.  Her elegant, timeless, seamless style.  Simple and alluring. Her simplicity and grace created a strong presence, her effortless style made her a charismatic icon.
